The biography of English acoustic singer-songwriter James Blunt is not exactly typical for a pop artist. Before embarking on his musical career, Blunt studied aerospace technology and sociology at university, and was later an officer in the Life Guards, a reconnaissance regiment of the British Army, serving under NATO in Kosovo during the military conflict in 1999.

"La Bayadere," which translates as "The Temple Dancer," is a ballet that was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa to the music of Ludwig Minkus, and first performed by the Imperial Ballet in St. Petersburg in 1877.
