Bailiffs in Altai Region will influence non-payers of alimony through cartoons.

Bailiffs in the region created two 40-second animation clips aimed at parents who do not pay the alimony, reports RIA Novosti. The cartoons show a child that lives with his mother and dreams of roller blades, while the father is either an alcoholic or a very rich man that lost touch with his family. The bailiffs find the child's father in the end and law prevails.

The promos were created by students on an advertising course in Altai Construction College at the bailiffs' request.

The animation will be shown in public transport and on advertising screens starting this Monday in Barnaul, a city in the region.

The authorities intend to continue the experiment and make more cartoons. The promo reminding the employers to pay the wages on time will be based on Alexander Pushkin's fairytale The Tale of the Priest and His Workman Balda, where a mean priest does not want to pay his worker, but is punished in the end. Russian warriors bogatyrs will remind people to make payments on credits in another promo.

Some cartoons will explain how to find out if one has a debt that will prevent them from going abroad and how and where to pay it.

The bailiffs' previous attempts to enlighten the population include asking Orthodox priests to read sermons to the offenders.
