The first grandson of Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama was born in a Moscow hospital on Thursday, Vesti reports.

Mr Hatoyama's son Kiitiro is currently working in Moscow. Yukio Hatoyama is the leader of the Democratic Party in Japan and has been the country's Prime Minister since September 2009.

Kiitiro Hatoyama is 33 years old. He is a lecturer in the Moscow State University's High Business School on Bachelor and Master courses. Mr Hatoyama is living in one of the University's accommodations with his wife and daughter. He is also an expert on traffic and wrote a dissertation on the subject. Mr Hatoyama intends to suggest a solution to Moscow's transport problem to the city authorities. He plans to stay in Moscow for another year.
