Moldovan student inherits almost 1 billion Euros – report

A student from the ex-soviet republic of Moldova has inherited over 950 million Euros from his German uncle, Russian tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.

According to the paper, the man - whose name was reported as Sergei Sudev - lives in the Moldovan town of Komrat and studies at the department of journalism. He also works as a radio DJ. Mr. Sudev first learned about the legacy from media reports. In an interview with the Vesti television the man said he did not believe in such luck and feared he could go mad after the news is confirmed.

The student had not maintained close relations with his uncle who lived in Berlin, but decided to find and visit his relative about 10 years ago. He says that the uncle was surely a wealthy man, but he did not really live the life of a billionaire. It turned out that Sudev managed to make a very good impression on his uncle and the latter mentioned him in the will.

The student inherited 950 euros in cash, securities, jewelry and real estate.

The state budget of Moldova for 2008 is about 15 billion Lei or about 415 million euros.
