In accordance with the housing construction program, 24.3 million meters of housing is to be built in Moscow in 2008-2011, the city economic policy and development administration said.

Of that amount, 8.9 million meters² will be used as part of social housing programs, including Affordable Housing to Young Families and social mortgage lending programs. In 2014, the city authorities plan to complete the renovation of all residential buildings that were brought into operation before 1991. The city budget will prioritize renovation programs for condominium apartment buildings.
